Who we are. This website is operated by Community Matters Ltd, an apprenticeship training provider based in Wood Green, London. Community Matters Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this site. Contact us at apprenticeships@communitymatters.co.uk.

What we collect and why

When you use our contact form or apply for a programme, we collect the details you give us (typically your name, email address, phone number, organisation and the programme you're interested in) so that we can respond to your enquiry, assess eligibility and, where you enrol, deliver your apprenticeship. We rely on your consent and, for enrolled apprentices and employers, the performance of a contract and our legal obligations under apprenticeship funding rules.

Who we share it with

We share apprentice and employer information with the Department for Education and its agencies as required by apprenticeship funding rules, with apprenticeship assessment organisations, and with our secure IT and form providers who process data on our behalf. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to two years. Apprentice records are kept for the period required by funding rules, currently up to six years after the end of the programme, then securely deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing apprenticeships@communitymatters.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Our full Data Protection Policy is available on the policies page.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum and never use them for advertising. The first time you visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use Google Analytics. Nothing is sent to Google Analytics unless you accept, and the site works in exactly the same way if you reject.

Videos on this site are played through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and only load when you press play. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
